Hi, for testing you can add the client DNS name in the hosts file of the server and also add the server DNS name in the hosts file of the client. So you can exclude the DNS name resolution as the problem. Try a ping from client to server and server to client. Check if in the hosts file wrong entries...

the sesam client depends on lsb-release and if there are other dependencies (from lsb-release) , you have to install the missing modules.

it's not the best idea to switch off the newday. This event is required for some reasons.

You can switch off the newday on weekend days, so you have a backup window from friday to monday morning. In special cases (restore), you can also w´switch off the newday, but only temporarily.
