Hi

I have a problem with backing up certain mysql databases. The backup runs complete but with warnings:

The mysql server is a windows 2012 server. I checked that the mysql is running. Can anyone please suggest any resolution.

Hi,

sesam have no agent for MySQL under Windows OS. You mean MS-SQL ?

What is the version of your MS-SQL engine ?

Hi,

MS-SQL2005 is not supported on Windows2012 (by Microsoft), see the link.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2681562

SEP sesam do not support the backup of MS-SQL2005 on Windows2012 (like Microsoft), see the link to the "SEP sesam OS and Database Support Matrix"

Backup of MySQL database over network or localhost.
mysqldump -u <mysql user> -h <ip address of MySql server> -p <password> <database> > <path to destination file>
SESAM will then backup the destination file like any other file.
I use it extensively on a Linux host. I believe that it will work on windoze.
