Restore fails

Post by ZeleD » February 4th, 2010, 4:19 pm

Hey all,

Im trying to restore files that was backedup from a Netware 6.5 server onto a OES2-L server.

I have NSS setup properly on my OES-L server, but somehow I cannot restore files.
I use a diffrent server and servername for restore destination.

Restore attempt to a NSS Volume running on Suse 10.3

Code: Select all

Re: Restore fails

Hy,

in which mode did you start the TSAFS on the OES-machines?
Please send the output from

Code: Select all

/opt/novell/sms/bin/smsconfig -t
from this machines.
What did you use as restore-target? The restore-target depends on the TSAFS-mode.

In your second code section you tried to restore files to /root/, which is not possible, when using a TSA due to restrictions from Novell. A TSA needs a Novell based directory.

Greetings, Florian
