restore canceled by "sesam controlling"

Post by amws » March 10th, 2014, 10:47 am

Hi,

while restoring an incremental backup of 20TB from 19 tapes, sesam aborts the restore after 1.8TB have been written. The error message in the GUI says: "aborted by sesam controlling - backup did not have an active status any more"

In another logfile regarding this restore it says: "Interrupted by user (2) ..." (which did not happen)

In the restore protokoll it says at the end: "XBSA call failed with message: System detected error, operation aborted."
And on the next line all by itself the beauty: "Segmentation fault"

Any idea what could cause those problems?

Hi,

it's not the best idea to switch off the newday. This event is required for some reasons.

You can switch off the newday on weekend days, so you have a backup window from friday to monday morning. In special cases (restore), you can also w´switch off the newday, but only temporarily.
